This is the fifth year of the event hosted by\u00a0<a class=\"linkOnClick\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rotary.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-include=\"300541277\">Rotary International<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>World Polio Day is an opportunity for the 33,000 Rotary clubs around the world to focus on the eradication of polio. Rotary has been working on this international service project for decades with great success. A live stream of the event will begin at\u00a0<span class=\"xn-chron\">6:00 p.m. ET<\/span>\u00a0via\u00a0<a class=\"linkOnClick\" href=\"http:\/\/www.endpolio.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-include=\"300541277\">www.endpolio.org<\/a>. Guests include Global Polio Eradication Initiative partners, celebrity ambassadors, polio survivors, and others.\u00a0<span class=\"xn-person\">Spencer Trask<\/span>\u00a0&amp; Co. Chairman\u00a0<a class=\"linkOnClick\" href=\"https:\/\/kevinkimberlin.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-include=\"300541277\">Kevin Kimberlin<\/a>\u00a0has been personally supportive of the eradication of polio since joining forces with renowned polio vaccine hero\u00a0<a class=\"linkOnClick\" href=\"http:\/\/www.salk.edu\/about\/history-of-salk\/jonas-salk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-include=\"300541277\">Dr. Jonas Salk<\/a>\u00a0in 1986.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a privilege to be a part of this monumental effort,\u201d said Kimberlin. \u201cWe\u2019re on the cusp of total eradication of one of history\u2019s most feared diseases.
