Polio Victim to Showcase Wheelchair Dancing at Blossom Arts Festival

tambourine-970343_1920Sophi Lin Hsiu Hsia, a Taiwanese polio patient and wheelchair dancing champion, is just one of the performer’s during the month-long Blossom Arts Festival in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As a national coach and judge of wheelchair dancing under the Chinese Taipei Sports Federation for the Disabled, Lin, 49, has won numerous dancing competitions across the world and wants to raise awareness that, despite her disability, she can still perform. “Dancing with an imperfect body and making wheelchair dancing a miracle of life enables me to encourage others to reconsider their own meaning in life, appreciate what they have, and not focus on what they don’t have,” she says.
